Thanks to an exclusive core sizing, each sheet offers astounding absorbency, as the ph-neutral internal & external fibers hold pigment in place without over-saturation. The heavyweight surface withstands multiple layers of paint with minimal warping & is suitable for water-based mediums such as ink, gouache & acrylic painting. Available as cold press, hot press & rough for different textures: choosing the right surface can impact the success of your piece just as much as skill level & paint quality. Cold press: wet paper pulp is pressed onto a cylinder mould & dried between layers of absorbent fabric, ensuring the texture—or "tooth"—created by the mould remains intact. This texture provides balanced absorbency & allows for expressive, improvised strokes, making it a favorite for landscape paintings, expressionist portraits & urban sketching. Hot press: also made with a cylinder mould, but pressed through heated rollers to create a compact, smooth surface. Since pigment sits on the surface longer, artists who prefer more control & intricate line work will enjoy its predictable, refined finish. Rough: similar to the cold press technique but adjusted to feature a more intense, irregular texture that allows pigment to settle in unique ways for strikingly spontaneous, impressionist paintings. Varying whiteness levels: natural white is a warm, slightly creamy tone for a traditional, soft aesthetic.extra white is a neutral, balanced base that maintains optimal color accuracy & contrast. Bright white enhances vibrancy & luminosity, offering intense contrasts typical of modern art. Pads, blocks, sheets & rolls—offered in the most popular fine art sizes & formats, perfect for creating in a local café, studio, en plein air, or art class. The art of paper, perfected over centuries—since 1492, arches has been the paper of choice for legendary artists—van gogh, matisse, picasso, dalí, warhol & beyond. Mould-made with 100% cotton fibers, this archival-quality paper is designed to stand the test of time, ensuring your work shines for generations.

The original, premium watercolor paper—trusted by professional artists, art teachers & art students for centuries, our watercolor paper is the most sought after surface for painters creating timeless watercolor masterpieces timeless

Superior, heavyweight, 100% cotton surface—layer rich, vibrant colors effortlessly using watercolor, ink, gouache & acrylic, all while enjoying exceptional durability with minimal warping or tearing

Proprietary composition for optimal absorbency—the only paper in the world with a unique sizing "to the core" that increases the luster & transparency of pigment while preventing paint from over-saturating the sheet

Hot press, smooth surface for precise brushwork—our most uniform surface supports the crisp lines, intricate details & soft gradients desired by artists focusing on botanical illustrations, portraits & calligraphy

Large format roll for studios & colleges—perfect for large-scale projects, experimental techniques & classroom settings, giving artists the freedom to cut to unique dimensions

Premium art papers since 1492—after five centuries, the arches philosophy remains the same: to make the best papers and enable you to produce your finest works while guaranteeing they will last as long as our papermaking heritage

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0922/8350/2889/files/48dafb61bb0225ef41ab28e7066257e90db6454d.jpg?v=1791032155
https://gramcoschoolsupplies.com/products/aquarelle-watercolor-paper-roll-hot-press-natural-white-140lb-300gsm-44-5-inchx10-yards-1-count
